Ofcourse (almost) all our guests come to surf. But there are many other activities to do besides surfing. To start we have a large garden with hammocs for a sieste and a big terrace for a meal or drink in the sun.
Nature & culture
The surfhouse is right next to a small forest where you can go for a walk, an early morning run or a ride with your mountainbike.
If you walk down trough the forest you will end up at the cosy harbour of Audierne where you will find shops, bars, restaurants and the saterday morning market. From the Audierne harbour you can go for a paddle with your SUP of kayak (rentals in Audierne) to the medieval village Pont-Croix.
The region is very large and green with loads of nature. Don’t be surprised to cross a deer, fox or other wildlife. There are several natural parcs to visit in Finistère and ofcourse you have plenty of small beautifull beaches to discover.
Bretagne has it’s celtic culture and it’s own language. In every village you will see this culture in the architecture of the houses, the churches and the menhirs. The local habitants are very friendly and open to meet new people.
In Plouhinec, next to one of our favorite surfspots, there’s a archeological site with a visitors centre to explain you all about the first humans in our region.
For those who still have energy after a surf session, there are many other sports activities to do. The ocean and beaches can be used for nautic activities like sailing, diving, fishing, swimming, blocarting, kayak, SUP and more. Ask us for more information if you like to do one of those activities, we can contact the school/company which offers your favorite activity.
There are outside tennis courts in Plouhinec and Audierne for thore who like to play tennis. And if you like to ride your bike ask Alex where to go (keep in mind you will ride on the road without bike areas).
With more and more young people living in our region, there are more and more festivals organised. Most of them are small festivals where local culture, food, products and artists are shown.
Or you can try to find a treasure at one of the many flea markets which are organised.
Also for kids there are many activities to do and places to visit.
In Audierne you find the Aquashow where they show you all local fishes and explain you all about raptors in a live bird show.
In Audierne is a nice swimming pool for the colder or rainy days.
If you don’t mind to drive a little you can go to a zoo or a large indoor/outdoor playground.
Ask us what else you can do with your kids, but for sure most of them will already be happy to play at the beach. The region has loads of beaches to build sand castles.
